Example: If a boradcast starts at 20:15 and you enter the EPG at 20:10, it's not possible to program the event by pressing the or button anymore. You have either wait and to start at 20:15 manually, or you have to program it over the menu. Some users mean, that it would be nice, if you could start the recording of an already started broadcast from the EPG too (e.g. at 20:20). |

Receiver hangs |

Some users reported that the receiver suddenly "hangs" and doesn't respond any more. I had seen this when I zapped over a channel that had changed the AID. On TP12551, SID 3997, PMT 49 with PCR 168, AID 144, VID 168 was till recently "Astra Vision". Now there is the "RTL Shop" using AID169. But until I changed the AID to the correct value I could not leave that channel once I switched to it other than changing into Standby. |

Actually, I cannot grap the picture. If you change the APID to incorrect value, the system recovers it from the PMT parsing. So, I think that the system should trace the correct A/V PID value. One of the possible scenarios for this problem is that PMT is changed. (Even that condition, the system will not hang up.) Can you tell me the PMT after rescanning that TP? |

If you select "Sort" in the Organizing Channles, there cannot be no operation in the individual services. From your comment (selects multiple channels, moves them..), I wonder that the current operation is not "Sort". Frankly speaking, I cannot understand why it works such a way neither find the problem here. Is there any specific way to make it work so? |

Sometimes the receiver responses to the RCU get very slow, up to 20-40 seconds. It seems that the CPU has suddenly a very high load and doesn't get to the end of doing whatever it does... Sometimes switching the channel resolves the problem, sometimes not. Even shutting it off by RCU takes very long, those blinking dots show for about 20 seconds. |

Problems with Conax CI |

"I inserted my first (1) Conax card into the embedded slot. All the channels encrypted with this card shows fine.
Then I insert a Conax CAM into one of the CA slots and also insert a second (2) Conax card into the CAM. And here is the problem; these channels does not show correctly i.e. there is a ""No Access"" pop-up on the picture.
Also if I first insert the card No 2 to the embedded slot and then the card No 1 with the CAM to CA slot (1st or 2nd slot no difference) the same ""No Access"" pop-up appeards on the screen for the card No 1 now.
It seem that the order you insert the cards is the ""key point"" here. Meaning that the card I inserted first (into the embedded reader or CAM) works fine and second one gets the ""No Access"" pop-up.
Any ideas how to get rid of these ""No Access"" pop-ups?" |

I tried it several times with changing the sequences but failed to find the problem. I wonder that "No Access" message is from CAM or smart card because our firmware has no such string. Anyway, we will keep in mind to test it when we go to the test trip. |

A reservation is made by EPG. If you playback a recording at the time when the reservation is executed, the receiver interprets the channel-change-command as if that numbers were entered by RCU, and so it takes it as jump-command by % in the playback. |

If the receiver is muted, and I use TimeShift, the sound on the VCR-Scart connector is suddenly there again, even though the mute-symbold is still displayed. If I press mute again, the symbol vanishes, and the next press on mute switches the sound off again... till the next timeshift-related command. The behaviour on the TV-Scart is correct |

The mute will work on scart switch and audio decoder. There is a bug in TF4000PVR that the mute of audio decoder is released if picture is restarted. But, the scart switch has no mute for VCR scart. So, you found this problem… Actually, we muted only scart switch about one year ago. But, some users requested to mute the SPDIF also. To mute SPDIF, we have to mute audio decoder and this makes VCR mute. I think that muting VCR scart is not good so we may fix this problem by not muting the VCR scart and SPDIF. |

If you start the playback of a recorded service, then change the name of the recording, and then start cutting the recording without stopping the playback after the rename, as soon as you confirm the cut, the receiver stops responding. The file is played back till the end, but any other RCU-command than OFF is not accepted. The cut is not done. |

Some services seem to send the EPG data in the wrong "field". AFAIR the content is in 3 fields: Title, short info, long info. And those services don't transmit the long info, but send a very long description in the short info field. And the receiver cuts the text off after a specific number of characters. Would it be possible to extend the short info if needed, or even copy the short info into the long info if no long info is transmitted, so that the whole text is displayed for those services? |

A delayed recording was programmed, and the tuner in standby. Long after the recording should have been finished the user checks the receiver, and it still shows "rECo", but no picture on the TV. Only switching it off by RCU is possible, and the recording shows the correct duration, but has 0kB recorded. |
